Sheetrock, Tape & Texture questions
We opened a wall for plumbing and now there's a big hole. Can you make it disappear?
Patching opened walls is a normal part of our remodel and repair work. We hang new sheetrock, tape and finish it, then match the texture. Once it's painted, it blends in with the rest of the wall.
Our house has that orange peel texture and I'm scared the new walls won't match. Can you blend them in?
Texture matching is part of our drywall finish work. We look at your existing walls and match the pattern on the new work. The goal is a room where you can't tell old from new.
I'm adding a room and want the walls to look like the rest of the house. Is that doable?
Yes. We hang, tape, finish and texture the addition to match your existing rooms. It's all part of the addition project.
Our office build-out has a lot of new metal stud walls. Who's gonna hang and finish the sheetrock for us?
We do, as part of the build-out. Once framing, plumbing and electrical are in and checked, we hang and finish the drywall. Then it's ready for paint and trim.
My ceiling has a sagging spot after a leak. Can you replace just that section?
We can remove the damaged section and replace it with new drywall. Then we tape, finish and texture it to match. If it's an insurance claim, we coordinate the scope with your adjuster.
I'm picky about seams showing through paint. How smooth will the finish be?
We tape and finish carefully so seams and fasteners don't show under paint. Tell us about any walls that get strong light. We'll pay extra attention to those.
Can I hire you for a single small drywall patch?
Our drywall work is done as part of construction and remodeling projects starting around $5,000. A single small patch is often a better fit for a handyman. If it's part of a larger project, we'd be glad to help.
We want smooth walls in the new kitchen but the rest of the house is textured. Is that weird?
Plenty of people mix finishes from room to room. We'll talk through where the transition should land so it looks planned. You choose, and we finish it that way.
Our restaurant needs special wall board in the kitchen. Do you handle that?
We hang the wall board your plans call for in commercial kitchens and build-outs. Share the drawings and specs early. We'll price and build from them.
We're framing right now. When does drywall start, and how'll I know the walls are ready?
