Franchise Builders questions
Corporate sent us a thick brand manual for our new location. Can you actually build to all of it?
Yes. We work from brand plans and finish standards and read them closely before pricing. Anything unclear gets flagged early so you can check with corporate.
I'm opening my first franchise and I'm nervous about the build-out. What happens first?
First we talk through your plans and your franchisor's requirements. Then we walk the space with you and prepare a written scope and estimate before work starts. You'll know what's included from day one.
Our restaurant franchise needs a lot of plumbing and electrical moved. Is that part of what you do?
It is. Plumbing and electrical rough-in and finish are handled as part of our build-out projects. We plan them around the kitchen and equipment layout in your plans.
We're remodeling an older franchise store to the new brand look. Can you work with what's already there?
We can. We look at what can stay, what needs to come out, and what the new standards call for. The written scope spells out each piece so there are no surprises.
The brand's finish list is super specific about tile, trim and hardware. What if something's hard to find?
We'll tell you as soon as we spot a material issue. You can then check approved alternates with your franchisor. We build with what the brand signs off on.
I'm leasing a retail space that used to be something totally different. Can it become our franchise store?
Many spaces can. We handle demo, framing, drywall, plumbing, electrical and finishes as part of a build-out. A site walk tells us what the space needs to match your plans.
Our franchisor does inspections before we open. Will you be there for the walkthrough?
We do our own final walkthrough with you before handoff. That's your chance to check every detail against the brand standards. Anything that needs attention, we take care of.
My partners and I own a service franchise. Do you only build restaurants?
No, we build restaurant, retail and service locations. The process stays the same for each. Give us a call at (559) 257-2397 to talk about your space.
We've got a second location coming. Can the same team build both?
That's a good way to do it. We already know the brand plans from the first one. Each location still gets its own site walk and written estimate.
I'm scared the build-out budget will balloon. How do you keep it in check?
It starts with a detailed written scope and estimate before work begins. If a change comes up, we talk with you about it first. You approve it before it happens.
