Ben Rick Construction, Inc. is a Class B general building contractor based in Fresno and working across Fresno County and Madera County since 2016. As your general contractor, we take responsibility for the whole job: planning the work, scheduling the trades and delivering the finished project.
We build and remodel for homeowners, business owners and property managers. That means custom homes and additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, new commercial construction, tenant improvements, franchise build-outs and repairs after a property loss.

General Contractor questions
I've got a list of projects around the house and don't know who to call first. Can one contractor handle all of it?
Yes. As a Class B general building contractor, Ben-Rick handles framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall and finishes as part of one project. You walk us through the list, we walk the site, and you get one written scope that covers the work.
We're thinking about building out a space for our business, but we've only ever hired contractors for our house. Is that a totally different process?
The steps are the same. We talk it through, walk the site, write a scope and estimate, then build. Commercial work adds things like brand standards or landlord requirements, and we plan around those from the first meeting.
My project feels kinda small. Is there a minimum before you'll take it on?
Projects start around $5,000. If yours is close to that, call (559) 257-2397 and describe it. We'll tell you honestly if it's a fit.
How can I tell your license is real before I sign anything?
Look up California CSLB License #1030203 on the Contractors State License Board website. It shows a Class B General Building license. Ben-Rick is also bonded and carries workers' comp through State Compensation Insurance Fund.
We got burned on a remodel a few years back. How will I know what I'm paying for this time?
Before any work starts, you get a written scope and estimate that lists what's included. You can read it, ask questions and go through it line by line. Work starts once you've agreed to it.
I only need some plumbing moved for a new sink. Can a general contractor take on a piece like that?
Plumbing and electrical work are handled as part of our construction and remodeling projects. If the sink move belongs to a larger update, it fits well. Tell us the full picture and we'll see what makes sense.
Who's actually running my job day to day?
Ben-Rick is owned by Ricky Cruz, and you have one point of contact through the project. Questions about schedule, scope or finishes all go to the same place, so nothing gets lost between trades.
Something got damaged at our property and the insurance company wants an estimate. Is that the kind of work you take on?
Yes. Insurance property loss repairs are a regular part of the work for homes and businesses. We walk the damage, prepare an itemized scope and estimate, coordinate with your adjuster and rebuild.
I've already got plans drawn up and just need someone to build them. Where do we start?
Bring the plans to the first meeting. We review them, walk the site and write a scope and estimate based on what's drawn. If something raises questions on site, we talk it through with you before work begins.
