We're adding a bedroom onto the back of the house. Does the addition need its own foundation?
Most additions do. We plan the new foundation so it ties in properly with your existing house. It's part of the addition project from the start.
I'm building a custom home and want to get the foundation right. Is that something you handle yourselves?
Foundation and concrete work is handled as part of our custom home projects. It's planned together with the framing and utilities above it. That keeps the whole build lined up.
Can I hire you just to pour a patio slab?
Our foundation and concrete work is done as part of our construction and remodeling projects. If a slab is part of a larger project, we can include it in the scope. Call us and we'll talk through what you've got in mind.
Our commercial building needs a new slab and footings. Who coordinates that with the rest of the build?
We do. Foundation work is the first step of our commercial new construction projects. Plumbing and electrical that run under the slab get planned before the pour.
I'm kinda worried about plumbing lines under the slab. How do they get placed?
Underground plumbing gets roughed in before the concrete goes down. We lay it out from the plans so fixtures land where they belong. Then the slab is poured around it.
The concrete around our foundation got damaged in a property loss. Can that be part of the insurance repair?
It can be included in the repair scope. We prepare an itemized scope and estimate and coordinate with your adjuster. Then we rebuild and do a final walkthrough with you.
My addition sits on a spot where the ground slopes a bit. Is that a problem?
Sloped sites are common and get planned for. We walk the site with you and look at how the foundation needs to sit. The written scope reflects what we find.
We're remodeling and want to move a bathroom. Does that mean cutting into the slab?
Sometimes it does, if drain lines need to move. We check where the existing lines run during the site walk. Concrete cutting and patching then goes into the written scope.
I've heard foundation mistakes are the hardest to fix later. How careful are you with the layout?
Very careful, because everything sits on it. We work from the plans and check the layout before any concrete goes in. Framing starts on a foundation that matches the drawings.
