Upstairs storage turned into offices
A shop owner in Old Town Clovis has a second floor that has held boxes and old fixtures for years. Turning it into a couple of rentable offices would help pay for the whole building. We climb the stairs with the owner and look at the floor framing, the stair itself and how power and plumbing could reach a small restroom up there. Older downtown buildings often need framing repairs before new walls go in, so that goes into the written scope along with new sheetrock, lighting, doors and hardware. Work like this may need a permit from the City of Clovis building department. The shop downstairs stays open, and we plan noisy work and deliveries around its hours.
